The themes of functions and roles of the supreme courts and the independence of judiciary were discussed at the bilateral meetings. The Polish colleagues were interested in the system and practice of disciplinary prosecution of judges in the Slovak Republic and they agreed on mutual exchange of information in this area. Both delegations have come to an agreement that it shall be beneficial for both parties to inform one another on alternative dispute resolution methods. At the conclusion of the meeting both delegations have ascertained that it is inevitable to strengthen the Slovak-Polish relations and continue to develop Visegrad cooperation.
Besides the visit at the Supreme Court of Poland our delegation has also had meetings at the Constitutional Court of Poland, Regional Court in Krakow and the Supreme Administrative Court of Poland, which took place on May 12, 2016.
