Vicepresident of the Supreme Court
JUDr. Terézia Mecelová

 

JUDr. Terézia Mecelová has served at the Supreme Court of the Slovak Republic since September 1, 2021, as a judge on the Civil Law Panel, and since January 1, 2024, as the presiding judge of the panel. Since January 1, 2023, she has been a member of the Jurisdictional Chamber of the Supreme Court of the Slovak Republic and the Supreme Administrative Court of the Slovak Republic. She was appointed Vice President of the Supreme Court of the Slovak Republic on January 8, 2026.

JUDr. Terézia Mecelová is a graduate of the Faculty of Law at Trnava University in Trnava.

From 2005 to 2013, she served at the Supreme Court of the Slovak Republic as a senior court clerk. On May 13, 2013, she was appointed as a judge assigned to the District Court in Piešťany, and effective September 1, 2018, she was transferred to the Regional Court in Trnava.

She serves as a lecturer at the Judicial Academy of the Slovak Republic and was elected by the Council of the Judicial Academy of the Slovak Republic as a member of the examination committee for the areas of substantive civil law, civil procedural law, and labor law (for the term from June 16, 2024, to June 15, 2027). She also served as chair of a section of the Association of Judges of Slovakia.
