The President of the Supreme Court of the Slovak Republic, Ms. Daniela Švecová, hosted eleven judges from Georgia today. After the meeting with Serbian Minister of Justice, Mr. Nikola Selaković and intensive cooperation with Ukrainian judges, Ms. Daniela Švecová has met the representatives of the judiciary of another country being a part of the EU accession process.
Georgian colleagues from the “Association - Unity of Judges of Georgia” were intensively interested in the Slovak judiciary and our legal system. Ms. Daniela Švecová informed them on the situation in Slovakia and she offered them assistance from the Supreme Court of the Slovak Republic as far as the provision of our information and experience from European Law implementation is concerned. Subsequently, the judges from Tbilisi, Kutaisi, Poti, Telavi and Bolnisi informed the representatives of all four divisions of the Supreme Court of the Slovak Republic on the complexity of the condition in Georgia and its legal situation.
“Association - Unity of Judges of Georgia” is a non-commercial (non-profit) organization registered on June 4, 2013. It is a voluntary organization with 42 acting and reserve judges. Any acting or reserve judge may become a member of this association.
